Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to immediately join our team based out of Cochrane, AB. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities and flexibility are crucial. The project manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of environmental construction, remediation, and demolition projects which includes estimating, scheduling, proposal submissions, deploying personnel and equipment. This position also involves contracts administration, and reporting on safety and profitability. In addition to above, responsibilities include but are not limited to: •Ensure all Sublatus and site specific safety policies and procedures are followed. •Conduct and partake in all safety related meetings including: pre-job safety meetings, hazard assessments, etc. •Planning, organizing and directing projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget. •Respond to questions, concerns and all requests from supervisors on site. •Acting as customer liaison and business development. •Contract administration. •Work, coach and mentor project coordinators. •Work with project accountants on billing. •Working with the business development team to ensure all bid packages are accurate, up to date, timely and thorough. •Responsible for contract administration and ensuring project is being managed according to the terms contained therein. A successful candidate should have an Engineering diploma and/or equivalent construction supervisory experience. With a minimum 5 years of industry experience as a project coordinator and/or junior project manager, the project manager must be work for work, have the ability to work long hours in various weather conditions, and be willing to work away from home for significant blocks of time. Due to the demand of the job, this person must possess strong leadership skills and have the ability to manage their time in an efficient manner. Qualified candidates must have civil estimating experience. Preference will be given to candidates who can illustrate their knowledge and understanding of industry regulations such as TDG and relevant federal and provincial regulations. In addition, preference will be given to those with a working knowledge of the oil and gas industry, knowledge of the oilfield waste market with a strong and diversified oil and gas knowledge base; and experience in bidding, proposing, and scheduling projects.
